PUMA Application Solution

Portfolio Unit Management & Analysis

Why PUMA?
PUMA is an advanced unit-linked Portfolio Unit pricing, Mangement & Analysis system designed for any fund manager, life insurance operation, superannuation operation or other financial services organisation needing to 'unitise' pools of assets with differing volatility and yields  PUMA enables the delivery of consistent and accurate product pricing and asset valuation on a regular basis. PUMA would be the basis for any successful unit pricing implementation project.

What  is  PUMA?
PUMA facilitates the calculation of unit prices for unit-linked products based on inputs from various sources.  It is designed to link data from investment management and unit linked contract administration registration systems to produce unit prices and portfolio valuations.

PUMA was conceived to marry the requirements of Fund administration, including Statutory and Superannuation funds, with asset sector investment pool management.

It enables either a financial controller or an actuary to automate the regular production of unit pricing and product portfolio revaluation with a minimum of intervention and with consistent accuracy. It supports daily portfolio valuation with greater control of critical information production.  This can substantially enhance the profitability of an organisation through better risk management.
